Story
Our training efforts in 2020 fell flat. With the outbreak of COVID, the London Marathon was cancelled. We initially thought we might have a go in November. November came and went as did April 2021. And now, here we are. The opportunity is back.
We had already decided back in 2019/20, we wanted to raise money for The Mayor’s Fund for London. Because we believe all children and young people deserve a fair chance in life.
We are even more determined now. COVID has had a devastating effect, particularly on children and young people from low income families.
The Mayor's Fund put its response together quickly. It’s a big ambition - to transform life chances of 100,000 young Londoners by 2023.
With our run, we want to raise awareness of the work of the Fund and raise as much money as we can to support young futures.
We appreciate your support,
Sietske and Kim
