Wolf Run · 1 November 2014 ·

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A team of 7 of us, a mixture of friends and colleagues, will be taking part in the Winter Wolf run.  It is a 10km run through icy lakes, obstacles and woods.  Most of us have never run this far before and deep, cold water on a November morning is going to be a tough challenge!

I've decided to run for charity, to support Birmingham Children's Hospital.  This hospital recently provided amazing care to a very poorly 5 year old who sadly passed away this week.  Ben is the son of my cousin and was suffering from cancer.  He spent a few months in the Children's hospital whilst they worked on getting him well enough to go home.  He leaves behind a younger brother and a hole in his family.

All donations will be gratefully received by the hospital and will be put to good use in funding care for other very poorly children and their families.
