Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my crazy running buddy, Irfan are taking part in a 12 hour endurance run, Trailblaster 12 on 21st June 2015. Irfan is also taking part in the London Marathon and he has kindly offered to raise money for both of these events.

As most of you know, I sadly lost my husband, Andrew in 2009 in a road traffic collision. Brake helped myself and Andrew's family following his tragic death. Brake aim to increase road safety with the aim of reducing the number of deaths from road traffic collisions, which currently stands at one person every 30 seconds across the globe. Brake also help families following the aftermath of such tragedies.

Over the past few years I have taken part in 3 Marathons for Brake, but this by far will be the most gruelling. We are hoping to run approximately 80 miles. This is crazy for anybody, particularly considering I had a baby 10 months ago, and my longest training run currently stands at 10 miles.

Raising money for this great cause wil be in the forefront of mine and Irfan's minds whilst hobbling around for 12 hours. Any amount donated will be more than greatly appreciated!
