London to Paris Cycle Ride · 15 June 2023 to 17 June 2023 ·

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

* Update - thank you SO MUCH to everyone for all your support in so many ways, as well as all the generous donations. I just wanted to answer a couple of questions I've been asked regularly about my cycle & fundraising and give you a little itinerary below.

Yes! - I am actually cycling from London to Paris and not doing it virtually!

Fundraising - I paid a registration fee to cover travel/accommodation so your donations go straight to the charity.

Itinerary -

Day 1, London to Dover, 85 miles

Day 2, Calais - Montreuil Sur Mer , 46 miles

Day 3, Montreuil-sur-mer to Beauvais, 95 miles (gulp!)

Day 4, Beauvais to Paris, 58 miles, finishing at the Eiffel Tower. I then get 24 hours in Paris before heading home on the Eurostar.

I like cycling, but 20 miles including a breakfast stop (or a pint!) is normally enough for me. So 270 miles over a few days to Paris is definitely going to be a challenge (and probably give me a sore arse!) Many of you will know why I'm doing this. I guess I'm doing it because hopefully it will help save someone, somewhere.

A little bit below about the charity.

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We  fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We’re here to stop people dying of bowel cancer.

This is for you Sarah!
