Story
I am taking part in the Great Eastern Run in memory of Dad. I want to spread awareness of heart disease and the fact it is often a ‘silent killer’. Dad was only 65yrs of age when he collapsed and died at work. He was fit and healthy - an ex-football player.
In 2012 we took part in the GER together. He ran this without any proper training - determination got him through on the day. This year marks 10yrs since we did the race and I want to complete it in his memory whilst trying to raise some money for the British Heart Foundation and the important work they do.
As my shirt says “Break sweat. Beat heartbreak”.
