Liverpool Hope University (Global Hope)

We encourage our students and staff to act as global citizens

Charity Registration No. 1060579

Hi Everyone,

I am currently fundraising for a Global Hope Project, an overseas charity through Liverpool Hope University. Global Hope has many locations around the world in places such as; India, Malwai, South Africa, Brazil, Romania and Ugaunda, and the students volunteer in a number of ways.

This Summer, myself and 5 other girls are volunteering in a SOS village in Lilongwe, Malawi in Africa, where we will be working in a Primary School for two weeks, working with the children and teaching staff to provide learning experiences for both ourselves and the community.

The projects are funded with generous support from many people and organisations, along with many hours of fundraising. As the projects cost alot of money each person taking part has pledged to each raise £500 each, and I would be really grateful if you could contribute in anyway possible.

Over the next few months, myself and the girls are also doing lots more fundraising;  sponsored walks, cake sales, car washes, bag packing in the hope to raise the money we have pledged to raise. But the main task I will be taking part in will be the London Half Marathon: Run to the Beat. For any of you who know me well enough will know I HATE running, this is my worst nightmare, but have decided to do it to push myself. I will be completing this on Sunday 26th September 2010.

Global Hope is an amazing project, enabling us students to go to these countries and help in every way we can, so we really appreciate every kind of support.
