Fundraising for Veterans Aid
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I needed to challenge myself and what better way to spur me on than to raise money for a great cause! Veterans Aid work with homeless Veterans offering them immediate assistance and long term solutions to homelessness, medical/mental health issues, education, employment, just about everything really. I've helped fundraise for VA before and am still impressed by their passion for their work.
Why VA? I am proud to say that my brother Stuart is a member of the Armed Services who has completed many active tours of duty. I think we are lucky that he has returned seemingly unscathed and has been able to reintegrate into 'normal' life with the support of his family and friends. Not every Soldier is so lucky.
For many years I supported a hospice who give end of life care, but at the moment I want to support a charity which gives people a second chance at life. VA is that charity.
