Join me as I support the Child Advocacy Center of Coos County's Beards for Bucks fundraising campaign!
Beards for Bucks is a fun way for Coos County law enforcement officers to raise funds for (and awareness of) the important work that takes place at the CAC, by briefly relaxing dress code standards to allow officers to grow facial hair for the month of October.
Officers depend on the curiosity and generosity of the community, to capture fundraising dollars for their local CAC, during the Beards for Bucks campaign. It is a fun and easy way to support law enforcement and your local CAC!
Helping child victims of physical and sexual abuse, and their families, requires an approach that addresses the physical, emotional and legal dimensions of abuse. It requires a coordinated victim centered response from expert professionals to reduce stress throughout the investigation and intervention process. Coos CAC is our local child protection team's home, from which this work is initiated; CACs convene a number of necessary agencies and specialists to coordinate a plan of action to provide high-quality, specialized services for abused children and their families to heal, survive and thrive.
