NOW THE LAST £3000 IS TO BE RAISED BY MID-AUGUST, SO THE KINDERGARTEN CAN BE COMPLETED!  IF YOU CAN, PLEASE HELP!

 

Jodi, Lois, Jo, Becky and Sharron have just returned from Dej, Romania from a short-term mission trip with Blythswood Care.  We have been working with a group of Romanian children aged 3 -7 years at a Christian-led Kindergarten.  The kindergarten is called the Elpis Kindergarten and it caters for 60 children.  The love, care and education these young children receive is outstanding.

The kindergarten building desperately needs expanding / re-building.  As the kindergarten is run by a Christian couple and is not a part of the state education system, they do not receive any form of financial support from the Romanian Government.  Therefore, the couple require support from folk such as ourselves.  The couple pray every day that God will provide all they need. 

One part of the kindergarten is now unusable because the building structure is so badly damaged.  The kitchen is 'out of bounds' because it is in such a bad condition, so the children have to go home at 12pm rather than 7pm, as the kindergarten no longer has the facilities to feed the children. 

After our visit to the Kindergarten, and seeing what a wonderful ministry it is, we ladies have set ourselves a VERY BIG mission... to raise 3000 pounds in the next 10 days, so the couple can re-develop the kitchen and adjoining area of the kindergarten before the start of September.  The total cost of the building and the equipment is 6000 pounds, but we are aiming for the first 3000 pounds to be raised in the next 10 days... therefore the building work can start in the summer holidays.

This is a big promise we want to keep, so we are relying on our family and friends to make the impossible become possible!
