Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Its been almost three years since I ran a proper race (or ran at all, even) and in a worrying moment of lunacy, I signed up for the Longleat 10K in an effort to get fit or at least lose some xmas pud. It was that or completely lose it and sign up for double the distance in the Half six weeks later! However, its soon (two weeks!) and its not flat (understatement!) and with little training, a half stone heavier and winter closing in, the cold reality looms. So, whateverrrrr ... might as well run in a monkey suit to complete the insanity; at least I'll be warm! And I wont die alone: Amy Moore is also up for the challenge, clearly masking a secret desire to be chased by a mad banana wielding male silverback ;-) Be that as it may, we'll both be running for TUSK, a small, dynamic organisation  initiating and funding conservation, community development and environmental education programmes across Africa, and we would really appreciate it if you could sponsor us, whatever you can, even if its just out of sympathy. You might even tip the Scales of Fate and ensure blizzards and gales on the day and know your pound was well spent. You never know :]

Anyone else wishing to join 'Team Tusk' can Facebook me (209 events reg fee is £19) or sign up at 209events.com
