Where do i begin really , i basically was serving abroad with the Irish army and whilst on leave i went on holiday with my wife and kids .When on the holiday or rather at the end of it when returning back to Ireland i started to fall ill but thought i was ok but i wasnt .Im gonna give a quick summary here but join the stream and i will happily go into detail about it ,like i said i felt sick an was admitted to hospital with non stop tests been ran and they couldnt find out what was wrong , 3 days in they figured out i had NF (Necrotizing Fasciitis) which is a flesh eating disease and had to go for emergency surgery without the chance of saying goodbye to people , was told im 100% gonna lose my entire leg and as high as 75% wasnt gonna pull through because its been eatin me alive for 3 days , ended up with total of 8 surgery's , weeks in intensive care and months of hospital days and now years of recovery with the miricle been i kept all limbs and im alive today . The disease so so rare i find it hard in Ireland to find fellow survivors so im doin the charity stream in aid of an American foundation of NF.. in the long run i will set one up over here and see what we can do , the aim besides raising funds for research etc is to spread awareness of this and to be open to chat and share stories. If we raise nothin but make people aware of this then it is a win in my eyes . Join me and lets chat about this horrible disease , #FUNF
