We organise respite holidays for Grenfell Tower survivors, the bereaved and firefighters: time to grieve, create new memories and build hope. 'There was no more suppressing. The gentle atmosphere of Cornwall encouraged me to let out the pain and take in some of the healing.' Hanan Wahabi, 9th floor.

Story

It's our annual Sufferfest, this time I chose to raise money for a different Cornish charity, who are sending victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster to my home county to give some well deserved therapy.

Here's a word from the charity:

Grenfell Tower Fire claimed the lives of 72 people on June 14 2017. Our vision prompted waves of business and individual support, 'Imagine if we could put a Cornish holiday on the horizon of every Grenfell resident and firefighter family: a time to rest, a time to let our beautiful county bless these people and work its gentle magic.'
Since then 350+ survivors, bereaved and firefighters have come for respite. 1000's are still suffering with PTSD and loss. Our vital work continues to rebuild confidence and hope, especially for the children.
