Story

Thank you very much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On November 27th, 2021, I am competing in a charity boxing match with 16oZ gloves and Head guards at the Eastbourne Sports Park with the aim to raise cancer awareness. the fight will be Three, 2 minute rounds with a 1 minute rest period in between

I have created this JustGiving page in the hopes to raise just as little as £50 for my grandfather “Ken Whitfield” who sadly got beaten by cancer 15 years years ago. Of course I would like to raise as much money as possible which is why I am setting the target goal to £250 as then the more people may be inclined to donate and not stop passed the 50 goal. The more money that is donated will help many more people who are battling against cancer. This money will go towards getting patients the regular treatment that they need and deserve to have a much higher chance of a better and healthy life, as nobody deserves such a horrible illness. UWCB have raised over £4.5 million from these events and have changed hundreds of thousands of lives.

I want to give myself a difficult challenge outside of my comfort zone (which in this situation is by boxing). The reason for this is because no matter how much I will be pressed to train for this match and how much I might want to just turn around and give up; There are people out there who are going through a much worse fight than I will be.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and completely secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Thank you very much once again
