Me (kirk southern) and my brother (Ben Wright) are running the 2019 virgin London marathon in memory or our dad DONALD WRIGHT as you all may know he suffered from a very rare form of dimentia which ended his life prematurely, he was diagnosed with cortabasel degeneration frontotemporal dimentia at the age of 51 and died at the early age of 57 leaving a beloved wife SUSAN WRIGHT, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, mother and brothers behind too early, our mother(wife) had to give up her job at tescos in Bridlington where she had worked for over 25 years to care for him 24/7, our mum, being our mum, wouldn't put him in care and struggled through a lot, we all said she needed help but she faught through it alone with help from family and friends when they could, she had him at home full time. Finally, she gave in and let him go into full time care in December 2015 where she visited everyday all day and even slept on the floor in his room many nights to be with him until he left us in may 2016.

when people (including us) think of dimentia we just think of memory loss, forgetting what day it is, what your name is, however there is so much more to this terrible illness. We watched Donald unable to recognise himself in the mirror, loosing all his speech, unable to feed himself or have a drink unaided, and had to take him to the toilet. The symptoms go on and on, so we are running this great event in memory of our dad and to raise funds so hopefully one day we will find a cure for this awful desease, please donate whatever you can whether it's 50p ,£1.£5 etc every little helps, our family would like to thank everyone in advance. 

We know the amount target is extremely high, however, to be allowed to participate in the marathon for our chosen charity we have been asked to raise £2,000 each, as a result me and my brother have decide to create a joint just giving page,
