Kirk's Ride London 100 for The Brain Tumour Charity

RideLondon 2023 · 28 May 2023 ·
On 28th May I will be cycling 100 miles from central London to Essex & back for The Brain Tumour Charity.
First & foremost this is to raise awareness of Brain Tumours as often they can be mistaken for a headache, seizures (fits), memory problems and changes in your personality.
Unfortunately this is what happened to my wife Claire, after years of migraines, symptoms that went unnoticed & Drs prescribing different medications it took a visit to a new Dr in 2016 after symptoms worsened he immediately sent her for a emergency CT scan which found a meningioma brain tumour which was benign, 1 week later she had major brain surgery to remove it successfully at John Radcliff hospital Oxford.
It has been 6 years & She still has to have yearly scans but has fortunately she has made an amazing recovery
