At Amber’s residential centres disadvantaged young people have the chance to leave behind their troubled pasts. They are supported to overcome personal barriers and gain the social, educational and practical tools to lead successful, fulfilling, independent lives and be valuable members of society.

Story

Those of you that know Nick and Kirsty well, probably do not associate them both with the word marathon - wondering why we are gearing ourselves up for the start line and taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon this year - it is a long story, one that came about after too much cheese and wine!.

We are running for an incredible charity - The Amber Foundation. So many children, through no fault of their own are born into families with no love, no money and no direction.  They become victims of abuse - physical, mental and solvent.  The Amber centres offer a chance for these youngsters to regain their confidence, motivation, skills and education to get a job and keep it.

So many of us are fortunate to have friends/family to pick us up - so please donate (big or small) and help us give back a glimmer of hope to those less fortunate.

Thanks so much, Nick & Kirsty
