Fundraising for Vasculitis UK
Story
On the 5th May 2019 I will be taking on the trek to Everest Base Camp. Don't be mislead by the name 'Base Camp' (like I was), turns out this is 5380m high and a 17 day trip!
The 19th of May 2019 will mark two years since my dad sadly passed away, after a short battle with Vasculitis. Vasculitis is a rare autoimmune disease that will frequently go undiagnosed and its cause is often not understood. Vasculitis UK use donations to:
- Support vasculitis patients and their families,
- Raise awareness of vasculitis among the general public, medical professionals and other health professionals,
- Fund essential vasculitis research here in the UK.
My dad completed this trek himself, in his 50s I should add! I never gave him the credit at the time or appreciated just how much of an achievement this was. So in memory of this wonderful man, I will be completing this trek and giving any donations to Vasculitis UK.
