Kirsten Gaw is raising money for Bliss
Story
On 14th of October 2018, Lawrence Andrew Robert Gaw was born. He was just 29 weeks gestation and weighing 2lbs 15oz. He was 3 months premature.
His parents were airlifted from their home in Arran and arrived at Crosshouse hospital where they stayed for 2and a half months.
The causes of Lawrence’s prematurity were incredibly rare and there was no reason for it to have occurred.
Bliss help provide emotional support to families whilst they are in care and afterwards. They also hep find numerous research projects. Some of which Lawrence benefited from - the use of donor breast milk, the importance of kangaroo care (skin to skin) and the use of magnesium prebirth to accelerate brain development.
We are sure that these initiatives have helped to give Lawrence the best start in life.
