Story

Immy has spent lockdown teaching her Grandad to bake over FaceTime. It all started 12 weeks ago when he couldn’t get to the shop to buy a birthday cake for Grandma and instead Immy said “Don’t worry Grandad, I’ll teach you how to bake one” my dad had never baked before in his life but they did it very successfully.

However  it didn’t stop there, from them on they have baked every week together, from cupcakes to bread, chocolate eclairs to cheese straws,  lemon drizzle to rock cakes, they have done it all. The fun and laughter from the kitchen has been contagious and the results amazing and absolutely delicious.

To celebrate their achievement Immy has  decided to hold a cake  sale to raise money for Immy’s chosen charity, the  Alzheimer’s Society which is very close to our hearts. This has become even  more so over the last couple of years with me now working with hundreds of residents in care homes all over Worcestershire, many of whom have dementia. My work and the impact it has on these wonderful people is also something that  Immy has become very passionate about. and she has herself joined me for some sessions.

So please come along and buy a cake or just donate whatever you can spare to this amazing charity.

Immy has now got her friend  Tilly on board too and the girls will be running the sale together.

The cake sale will be following government guidelines for safety and social distancing, if you prefer to order however for delivery (within 5 miles) please do so.
