Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I tried running once in Macclesfield in 2007. The 'run' lasted a grand total of 30 seconds before I had to admit that I was not in any way built for it and go home. And now I've signed up for a 10k! Why?!! Firstly, because I love a crazy challenge. Secondly, and much more importantly, because the fabulous Wai Yin Society needs help. 

This organisation was founded by a group of community-minded Chinese women in 1988 and now provides more fantastic employment, education, support, advice and community services for Chinese people and other ethnic minority groups than I can list here. In a nutshell, Wai Yin aims to challenge all forms of discrimination and social exclusion. I work there teaching ESOL to adults and I know first-hand what a lifeline it is for its 1000+ service users. Government cuts have meant that we've had to come up with more imaginative ways of funding these services. This one involves me in trainers and a big purple T-shirt. I can guarantee that any and all donations will be put to great use changing people's lives!
