Story

"The South West Coast 2 Coast (SWC2C) is an epic, self propelled, 140 mile multi-sport traverse of Britain's largest and most beautiful peninsular". Ah....30 miles trail run; 76 miles road cycle, 23 miles off-road mountain bike and a 7 mile kayak. In two days.

I did it! Finished in 22.5hrs and was rewarded with a bronze medal for coming 3rd female. To be fair there were only five women competing and two didn't finished, but I'll take it.

Mission complete, but if you'd still like to donate, please do! The race almost ruined me, but thankfully, as their slogan goes I never gave up.

Why am I raising money for Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) and Shetland Womens Aid?

- Because 1 in 4 women are affected by domestic violence and abuse every year, regardless of social status, religion or location.

- Because both organisations desperately need funds to continue with what is such vital support work through their refuge and outreach services. All Shetlanders who donate, your money will go to Shetland Womens Aid. Therefore, please include the word 'Shetland' in your donation. All other donations will go to SAFE, formerly Exeter Women's Aid.
