UPDATE

I’m now swimming the full 22 miles! Finish date? Watch this space 😂

When I saw the poster advertising the swim in September it sounded like a great personal challenge. I knew I wouldn’t manage 22 miles in 12 weeks but 11 seemed manageable - just! The first Aspire swim at the end of September, I managed 32 lengths - half a mile, will I really manage to swim 11 miles in 12 weeks? 

I didn’t realise it was a sponsored swim at first (should have gone to spec savers 😂), then I wasn’t sure about asking for sponsors as I’m “only” swimming 11 miles. But you know what, 11 miles in 12 weeks is an amazing achievement given I’m not exactly at the healthiest point in my life! 

I started late, on 25th September, to give myself a decent chance of finishing the 11 miles, I’m going to finish on 18 December - 12 weeks after I started. 

This is a big challenge for me, but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, so please be generous!
