On 5th june 2010 I am taking part in an 8 mile midnight walk to raise money for the Pendleside Hospice in Burnley. This charity is important to me and my family because last year, when my Granddad was in the final stages of his battle with lung cancer, they offered us support and care when we needed it the most. It would have been my Granddad's birthday on 5th June, so this walk is as much a celebration of his life and memory as it is a way of raising money for such an important organisation which touches the lives of many people in Burnley. I hope that you can give whatever you can so that the hospice can continue to work alongside families like mine.
