Story
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Kirsty and I am a Chiropractic Assistant in Edinburgh. I started in the profession in 2008, and after seeing the incredible results that our patients experienced after being adjusted, I soon fell in love with chiropractic!
I know too well how much pain can affect our lives. At the age of 14, I underwent surgery for Scoliosis and now have two titanium rods screwed and bolted to my spine, which can cause me excruciating pain. The only thing that has helped me is having regular chiropractic care.
In 2012, I decided to become a chiropractor myself with the hope that I might someday be able to help children avoid having that surgery and experiencing the pain that I did. I started at McTimoney College of Chiropractic and successfully completed two years before the Scottish Government took all of my funding away, and I was sadly forced to give up my dream.
On the 28th May 2022, I am taking part in the Edinburgh 10k Run. I decided to fundraise for the Scotland College of Chiropractic because I believe that Scotland needs more chiropractors to help the nation get well and stay well. This college will be vital in making that happen. I have also set myself the goal of becoming one of the first chiropractic students to join the new college, so that I can once again follow my passion and calling in life! ❤️
Take a look at the college website to see where your funds are going!

I would really appreciate it if you could give as much as you can for this wonderful cause, and that will help to give me the strength and encouragement to make it round the 10k course which takes me on a journey up and around an extinct volcano - Arthur's Seat!!
Love and health,
Kirsty x
