Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Army Medic Cameron Ray had his career placed on hold as he started through his journey from presenting sick with a headache to being diagnosed with a tumour resulting in chemotherapy and surgery. He returned to DMS Whittington to complete his medic training and continued with his Military career.
I ran the Milton Keynes marathon in 2019. Followed by a 50 mile event in Essex and finally attempted the Robin Hood 100 mile event in Sherwood Forest. Due to injury, I only completed 71 miles. I ran the London marathon October 2022 after a few sherberts the night before - so very much felt the distance.
Unfortunately, Cameron's cancer has returned and now it's terminal. Cancer doesn't discriminate.
Lasr year I ran Race to the Stones 100km in the wind and rain resulting in trench foot and blisters galore. This year I will be running the great Birmingham half, Race to the Stones again and finally reattempting the Robin Hood 100 miles in September. If anyone cares to join me for the last 50 miles, do let me know!
Let's keep fighting this Evil and find a cure.
