 In January 2018 the critical care team at DGRI saved my life after being diagnosed with Acute Epiglottitis followed by myocarditis.  None of us know what’s around the corner and we think it will never happen to us, which is why it is so important to recognise the important live saving work these guys are doing every single day and are there for us whenever we need them.  If our new DGRI had not been here, I would not be here either as I may not have survived the extra journey time to the old hospital.

Myself and my team - Ali, Kayleigh, Marie, James & Lewis have set ourselves a big challenge.  We have very kindly been sponsored by Graham’s the family dairy.  Our challenge will be over 6 hours and we will attempt to Row & Cycle as many Graham’s tanker miles as we can (one tanker averages around 286 miles per day) we will also lift as many Graham’s tankers as we can by completing as many deadlifts as possible in that time (average tanker weighs 44T) Graham’s the family dairy will be powering us through our training and our event by supplying us with all of their protein products.
