Story
I have always wanted to do a sky dive - so as you can imagine having 4 young children and sometimes not having much time for myself - we were as family watching a movie and I said to my son I would love to do that - he said jump out of a plane - I said yes!!! The following day when lewis my partner came home and said did you receive an email today? I said no? Checking.... nope no email out of the ordinary ! To then the following day have an email confirming my booking for a skydive - excitement and I suppose nerves set in but to know that I have signed up to support an amazing charity I cannot wait to do my skydive, and to be able and support make a wish is just amazing.
I chose to support this charity as having 4 young children myself and knowing what a tough year all families and children have.
The children that make a wish support deserve their wishes and dreams to come true. I knew from the moment I looked at some of the children’s wishes that make a wish had granted that it was indeed the charity I wanted to support.
One of them being a child who’s wish was to have a sleepover in a tree house with fairies. This was made possible for them and I hope to be able to support them to make more wishes come true for other children.
Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
