Kirsty Cartin is raising money for Parkinson’s UK

Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025 · 26 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Looking forward to my 6th Mighty Stride Kiltwalk in 2025 from Glasgow to Balloch in aid of Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson's UK is a charity close to my 💙 as mum was diagnosed with PD at 49 yrs old, over 15 yrs ago. Life hasn't always been easy for mum since, a battle of will between body and mind and a daily cocktail of several drugs to keep moving. There is no cure of Parkinson's. It's the fastest growing neurological condition.

Parkinson's UK is seeking better treatments as well as a cure. It provides support to those living with Parkinson's and their carers. Parkinson's UK provides education, lobbies government and ensures access to specialist Parkinson's nurses. Every penny counts.

Thank you 💙
