London to Paris 2022 · 10 June 2022 to 11 June 2022 ·

On June 10, thirty riders from the Barnes Primary community - parents, staff, family &friends are starting a 2 day cycling challenge. They will ride to from Barnes to Paris to raise funds for the PTFA and Skylarks Charity.

Story

Those who knew me pre-kids, would know that I cycle.

Those who have only known me post-kids, may not!

I had a crazy urge to get back into cycling when the opportunity arose to ride with a group of local parents... to Paris on 10/11 June.  I was a bit apprehensive, so after a few short rides of c. 20kms and 7 weeks to train for it, I finally committed!!!

Training stepped up to 100+km rides every weekend (Daddy daycare in full swing - thanks Mark x) and I am going to push my limits, physically and mentally, to ride from London to Paris (once again), over 2 days (105km Day 1 and 185km Day 2).

We are raising money in support of two charities: Skylarks and the Barnes Primary School PTFA.

Skylarks vision is to foster a world where children with a disability or additional needs can thrive.  It provides a supportive and active community, caring for the whole family.  They want to remove the isolation that can be created for families and their children who have a disability or additional needs. Skylarks is based in Richmond upon Thames, however anyone, from anywhere, is welcome!

Funds raised in this campaign will be split equally between the Skylarks Charity and Barnes Primary School PTFA.

I've covered the cost of the cycle, so all funds go directly to the charities.

Thank you for visiting this page, all donations add up and are hugely appreciated.
