At least 21 people with epilepsy in the UK die each week. SUDEP Action, is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those bereaved by epilepsy, raising awareness of epilepsy risks and tackling deaths in people with epilepsy, including Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP).

Story

We will be attempting to complete a Tough Mudder this August with Charles Stuckey to raise money for a charity very close to our hearts. We will be running to raise money and awareness for SUDEP Action.

In December 2012, Emily 'Sumo' Sumaria tragically lost her life to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). She was an absolutely incredible person and a close friend to not only me, but so many other people. My mum has also recently been diagnosed with the condition bringing the cause even closer to home.

There are at least three epilepsy-related deaths a day in the UK. The majority are SUDEP, which is still not fully understood. SUDEP Action cares for the bereaved and works with families and professionals to make a change. Using research and awareness they strive to get the answers that will saves lives, like Emily's.

This charity means so much to myself, Charlie, and so many other people and we both would hugely appreciate any donations to such an amazing cause that has affected so many of us.
