This August I'm going to be taking part in the Great Scottish Swim to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The Great Scottish Swim is the UK's biggest mass participation open water swim. The course is one mile in Strathclyde Country Park, and takes place over the weekend of 25th August 2012. This is going to be a huge challenge as I have a major fear of open water and lakes, so all support is appreciated!

I am raising money for Cancer Research as Cancer affects 1 in 3 people, leaving many families being affected by the disease in some way, shape or form. My family has been affected by Cancer more than once and I want to raise this money to help Cancer Research UK to help them find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer!.
