Story
Never has the importance of 'keeping safe at home with family' been a more universal message.
That's why I'm raising fundraising for Hope and Homes for Children and the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation by hiking 100 miles and running 100 miles in June, in order to support vulnerable children and families when they need it most.
I'm Kirsty Coldicott, Partner and Practice Principal of KLC Wealth Management, based in Worcester and part of the Solihull Location. And the plan is...
- Week 1: 30 Miles Running
- Week 2: 30 Miles Running
- Week 3: 100 Miles Hiking
- Week 4: 40 Miles Running
I hope that my trusty partner in crime, Biscuit, will be there most of the way with me. I am really proud to be part of a group of like-minded advocates of Hope and Homes for Children who are really keen to try and increase awareness of this wonderful charity and raise as much as we can along the way.
Eight out of ten children in orphanages have a family who could care for them, if on they have the right support. But in many communities globally, children are needlessly separate from their families due to poverty, disability or discrimination. Hope and Homes for Children work to ensure that every child can benefit from the love and support of a family, without suffering institutional care. Because no child should ever be too poor, too sick, too disabled to be loved.
The SJP Foundation has committed to raising funds for NHS associated charities as well as the usual charities supporting children and those affected by heart disease and cancer and it seems one of the most crucial times to be able to support their efforts.
All contributions to my challenge will be donated to Hope and Homes for Children and St. James's Place will generously match 100% each donation I receive for the St. James's Place Charitable Foundation to support their charitable aims. So every £1 you donate becomes £2 for a variety of amazing charities.
Thank you so much for your support.
