Story

Team KissyPuppy – Great South Run 2013

This is our team fundraising page for Kissy Puppy/Sophie Rolf Trust.

Sophie Rolf is a beautiful, happy, larger than life little girl who, a few months before her 5th birthday, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. She is based on the Isle of Wight where there is currently no hospice provision to suport children and their families with respite and end of life care – with the closest facility being Naomi’s House in Winchester, which for Sophie and her family is a 3-hour round trip away.

The KissyPuppy Team is raising money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. This could go towards things like transforming a space into a child friendly residence that would bridge the gap, whilst new long term hospice services are developed to support children with life shortening conditions on the Isle of Wight.

Our team currently comprises of:

Most of the team are not seasoned runners and for many it will be their first taste of competitive running. So dig deep so we can help develop this much needed facility for children on the Isle of Wight.
