In one of my more insane moments, I agreed to join a group of friends to run the Florence Marathon in November this year.

I keep being asked if I know how far a marathon is?!

The others running are all mad keen sports addict triathlon types. As most of you know I am more of an occasional jogger so I will be following far behind in their dust.

I will be delighted to make the finish in 5 hours and still be breathing.

Like so many people, Chris and I have had friends affected by lymphoma. It made sense therefore not just to run for my own warped sense of satisfaction but also to raise some money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma charity at the same time.
