Story
Here I am again, taking on a challenge and needing your support.
I’m never one normally to do things by halves and the reason Ive done many of the things I’ve done is the profound impact peoples lives and sadly deaths have had on me and those around me. This occasion is no different.
On the 12th May this year my older sister sadly died at the age 54. She loved life, loved nature, loved the outdoors and loved laughing. She battled so hard to live, to have normality in her life rather than endless trips to hospital, invasive treatments and of course the pain and discomfort that she had to endure. She was and will always be my inspiration and hero.
The thing that struck me the most about my sisters journey was her ability to have hope and laughter in every situation The positivity she had, the hope she would get better and the determination to take what ever was given so she could live, was and will always be completely inspirational.
So in order to honour my sister with her love of the great outdoors, breath taking scenery and nature, I’ve signed up to trek Mount Kilimanjaro for Cancer Research in May 2023. I want to give those with knowledge the financial support to research this god awful disease so others don’t have to feel the sense of loss we and many others have.
My target is set at £4000 which is a hefty amount, I agree, but hopefully , through finding different ways of fund raising we can beat cancer together.
Much love and thank you for your continued support
Kitty 💕 xx
