Story

As many of you know, I’m rather keen on rugby, particularly Scottish rugby (and both codes!).
This is why I’ve decided to sign up to Doddie AID and run throughout January as far as I can. I haven’t run for over a year, following the death of my Dad, but aim to give this my all.

One of my Scottish Rugby heroes, Doddie Weir, and the rugby league legend, Rob Burrow, are both suffering with the fatal and cruel MND. Both are not only greats in their sport but doting family men. Having been blessed with the most loving and doting Dad, who I miss every day, I wanted to do something not only for Doddie and Rob, but for their families too, who will be facing the awful prospect of knowing what this disease is doing/will do to their loved ones.

I will be running for the South of Scotland in honour and in memory of my Darry (Dad), a true and proud Scottish Borderer. I know, if he was here, he would have loved to have joined me in helping raise funds for Doddie who he was so fond of.

If you can spare any change for this most worthy cause, I would be so grateful. X
