And you will probably know that for over 10 years now, The Old Ways Seminar has been taking place. Founded by GM Colwell himself, it has been continued, after his sad passing, in his honour and with the steadfast determination to continue his legacy - The Old Ways.

The Old Ways is a gathering of like minded individuals and friends who come together to pay their respects, make new acquaintances, renew old friendships, learn, break bread with each other and generally enjoy not just the occasion, but each others company.

For over 18 months now, Covid-19 has affected us all - the new pandemic landscape has not benefited very many - we are very much aware of this. By the time our next event takes place, we will have all experienced two years of a challenging time.

SUNDAY, MARCH 6th, 2022 - LIVERPOOL, UNITED KINGDOM

Which is why, we have taken the decision that ALL attendees can be there totally FREE OF CHARGE - not even a nominal fee. Everybody involved in the Kizuna already gives their time and teaching for no financial return, but we fully appreciate that any potential effects of the pandemic should be no reason why adults and juniors alike are unable to attend.

If anybody (attending or not attending) wishes to make a donation to Marie Curie, we would welcome that gladly - but it is not a pre-requisite.

Anything that anybody feels that they can contribute - this would be thankfully received with our best of wishes and a full heart.

Marie Curie is the charity that not only gave GM Colwell wide ranging end of life care, but who were able to elongate his life - they transitioned a terminal illness diagnosis of 3 months to allowing GM Colwell over 2 years of an additional full life - they are, have been and always will be a truly genuine and giving charity.

We would love to see you in person, but if you are unable to make it, keep in touch. It's so important that we are all still there for each other.
