Kendal Lawn Tennis Club is holding a charity 24-hour tennis marathon on the weekend of July 2nd/3rd to raise funds for Carer Support South Lakes. We hope to involve as many club members as possible from the best first team players to the youngest juniors to our most mature veteran players to get us through all 24 hours! There'll be a social tournament, barbecue, strawberries and cream, junior games and activities, competitions for fastest and slowest (!) serve, a brilliant raffle, and yes, tennis for insomniacs, right through the wee small hours of the night.

It's the middle weekend of Wimbledon so we'll make sure we can keep up with the scores too. All welcome, to take part please contribute £10 and email nikkimurray@live.com and  heidimurray28@gmail.com for more details.

Carer Support South Lakes is a terrific local charity. Many of us will find ourselves caring for someone at some point in our lives and it can be a challenging, stressful and lonely experience. This group gives valuable help and support to carers across the South Lakes, from young people still at school who may be caring for a parent, to parents who care for children with special needs and disabilities, to adults caring for their wives, husbands or other relatives through ill health.
