Story

Ann and I’s friend Skip only took up cycling in May 2019 and recently completed his 100th ride. As some may know Skip has been on a bit of a rollercoaster since he was first diagnosed with cancer 7 years ago. Despite his most recent prognosis he has decided he would like to attempt a challenging fund raiser.
He enthusiastically entered the ETAPE LOCH NESS in April this year (cycling 66 miles round Loch Ness) however due to COVID 19 this was cancelled.

Skip is undeterred and along with his wife Shirley, Ann and myself, we are to ride from Ettrickbridge to Bamburgh In Northumberland, approximately 64 miles on Saturday 1st August. This challenging cycle is to raise funds for a cause close to Skip’s heart - The Katie McKerracher Trust (more info can be found at www.katiemckerrachertrust.co.uk).

Katie our daughter died from a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) aged eleven, 11 years ago. Katie’s Trust was set up in her memory to help families of children who find themselves in the same situation.

If you are able, please donate to this fundraising effort by Skip, Shirley, Ann and I and help support Katie’s Trust. Thanks.
