GAT's Knee Surgery Appeal

Fundraising for Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust
£14,878
raised of £20,000 target
ACL Knee Surgery, 23 April 2015

Story

Having first raised £10,929 to support Cheltenham General's surgeons, we then launched a 2nd phase, backed by Cirencester Rotary Club, to support Rob Gleeson and the surgeons at Gloucestershire Royal who need £3,754.40p. Help us to continue making a difference to the knees of a generation of 20 - 40 yr olds.

There's nothing an athlete or sportsman dreads more than the "pop" of a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament. Reconstructing an ACL requires a skilled surgeon using specialist medical equipment and helps prevent Arthritis. The 'Knee Group' of surgeons at Cheltenham General were the 1st team to  appeal for help and now their equivalent team at Glos Royal need our help too. Your knee is the most complex joint in your body and is subjected to huge forces. The ACL is the most important of five 'structures' that resist those forces. The 'at risk' generation are 20 - 40 year olds. Please help us to save the knees of a generation of sportsmen and women by preventing Arthritis.
