Story
Amazing Graze, a community café situated in South Shore, Blackpool & The Fylde Coast, provides a warm, safe place and food for the homeless. That is not just a soup kitchen or a café, but a place that genuinely lifts people to a better place. The homeless population in Blackpool continues to be twice the national average, and homeless deaths have increased to their highest levels last year, with around one death every seven hours. It is for this reason we have chosen to support Amazing Graze to ensure that people can continue to receive the help and support needed from the services they provide.
On April 7th, 2023, the Knights of St Thomas of Canterbury will be hosting an Easter Sleepout in aid of Amazing Graze registered charity (1167233) has supported Blackpools homeless and vulnerable community for over 10 years. By participating, you'll swap your cosy bed for a sleeping bag for one night. Whilst we do not wish to replicate homelessness, the event will give a small insight into some of the harsh realities faced by rough sleepers. You can take part at home and send us photos or video at our email address commandcouncilkst@outlook.com. All you need to do is pitch a tent in the garden or make a bed out of cardboard on your balcony for the evening. Whether you are sleeping out or supporting from home, tell your friends, tell your family, and get everyone involved in raising awareness regarding homeless and funds for Amazing Graze. Participants may want to bring a torch, pack of cards/games for entertainment, cofee or tea and snacks. We encourage you to donate for this great cause or simply share our link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/knights-of-saint-thomas and help us to collect donations.
Let's make a real difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate than us. Your support and donations will go a long way in helping Amazing Graze continue their great work. Together, we can lift people to a better place.
