I am going to be boxing to raise money for Release, a fantastic charity helping out some of the most vulnerable people in our society. Release provides professional support and legal advice to people recovering from substance dependence issues. The Release legal team offers free non-judgmental, specialist advice and representation on debt, benefits and housing issues to its clients. I worked as a lawyer with Release from 2013-2015 and saw first hand the invaluable support that Release offers its clients, giving them crucial legal assistance that would likely not be available for free anywhere else.

Release also campaigns on issues relating to drug policy reform and stop-and-search reform. Release was founded in 1967 and since then it has consistently provided support to the most vulnerable in society, who are disproportionately impacted upon by the current drug laws.

In order to raise money to help Release to keep doing what they do, I am going to be competing in a charity boxing fight on the 25th of September. Please keep in mind, I have been spending the last few years mainly sitting in a library doing little-to-no exercise, so it is going to be a hell for me to get into shape and do this. If you could kindly donate to support me and Release, you would be making this arduous journey so much easier for me, as well as doing a good deed in aiding this charity.
