Ben Parkinson is raising money for Chrysalis Youth Empowerment Network
Story
Chrysalis Youth Empowerment Network has been given a 40 foot container, half full of equipment, to send to Uganda and we intend to raise money through car boots for the transport to Uganda and also to convert the container into a secure computer centre for rural children in Northern Uganda.
The transport will be £3800
The refitting will be £2000
The cost of the container would have been £3500 but we have this now
We have much of the equipment we need - computers and peripherals, sports equipment, books, furniture - but will also need to fill the other half through donations of items.
You can help us by sending us goods for car boots, running a car boot yourself for Chrysalis and sending the money here to Justgiving, or simply donating towards the cause.
The Koro Centre is intended to be a training centre for the whole of Northern Uganda to encourage children to become changemakers, new Butterflies for the Butterfly Project in Uganda, but at the moment it is completely empty of equipment.
