BOD + Friends Climb · 8 July 2023

Each year, employees from local companies and foundations raise funds for Washington's National Parks by climbing Mount Rainier, Mount Shuksan (North Cascades) or Mount Olympus (Olympics). Are you ready to Climb for a Cause?

Story

I'm stoked to be joining some rad humans from WNPF's Board of Directors to attempt to summit Mount Shuksan (Fisher Chimneys route) all in an effort to raise funds and awareness for North Cascades National Park.

Funds raised for North Cascades National Park will benefit priority park projects like:

  • Supporting Incident Responders
  • Bear Essentials Safety Program
  • Backcountry Permit Videos
  • Enhancing Education for Visitors
  • Wilderness Internships to Support Rangers

Washington's National Park Fund's program Climb for a Cause gives the opportunity for individuals to come together to raise funds for priority projects in Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. More than $100,000 is raised annually through Climb for a Cause, thanks to dedicated climbers from companies like Amazon and Microsoft, as well as the local community.
