Kershaw Premier Grand Tour · 18 June 2022

Batten disease is a group of rare, progressive neurodegenerative, genetic metabolic diseases that occur in children & adults worldwide. The BDFA's Vision is to be the central point of excellence in the UK for supporting affected families funding research into a potential cure.

Story

On Saturday 18 June I will be cycling around all of the current Kershaw Premier football grounds, raising money for Batten Disease Family Association (BDFA).

At the start of October 2021 a friend’s daughter was diagnosed with an extremely rare neurological terminal illness called Juvenile Batten Disease which means she is unlikely to live past the age of 20.

I am hoping to raise as much money for the charity as possible with this event in a hope that it may help the charity find a cure. If you can spare anything to donate it would be greatly appreciated.

I will be leaving March Town Football Club early in the morning and finishing at Over Community Centre. I expect to have to cover somewhere in the region of 140 miles during the day, 10+ hours in the saddle. All support is welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and remember to gift aid if you can.
