David Curry is raising money for Kimbuta Rural Development Programme

Hello, thank you for visiting this page,
On May 3rd 2009 I will be taking part in the Edinburgh 10 km race. Since this is the first time that I have taken part in such an event I thought it would be a good opportunity to raise some money for the Kimbuta Rural Development Programme (KRDP). The KRDP provide valuable support to development projects in Eastern Uganda. To find out more about the charity you can visit their web-site at www.krdp.org.
A few years ago money raised by the KRDP was used to help aid the construction of a new classroom block to replace the existing structure, as well as provide books and suitable teaching equipment (e.g. desks). Any money I can raise by taking part in this 10 km race will be put towards building a new classroom block that will contain 3 new classrooms and a laboratory to allow a science curriculum to be taught at the school.
I realise that financially times are tough at the moment, but even the smallest donation can go a long way in aiding this project. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kimbuta Rural Development Programme gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
