Story

Hi all,

I'm celebrating what will be my 2nd year post kidney transplant in November 2021 by raising money for Kidney Research UK.

In 2019, I was fortunate enough to get a living donor from my wonderful Mother which has kept me healthy ever since. Its been amazing to go from being severely sick with headaches, restless legs, constant tiredness and cold, no energy etc to literally feeling better the day after the transplant through Robotic surgery.

Unfortunately, this kidney will fail at some point in my life and i'll have to go through the whole process again. Kidney Research UK help with researching ways to make them last longer and longer, as well as preventing the disease's that cause it.

I'm aiming to cycle to Paris in September this year to raise money for this charity and anything you can spare to help would be amazing. The next Paragraph below is from Kidney Research UK.

There are currently 850 million people worldwide living with kidney disease. This is not OK. I'm joining the fight to help end kidney disease by completing in the #850CycleChallenge. I'm taking charge and making this summer count. With kidney disease now being the ninth top cause of death, Kidney Research UK has never been more important. Kidney disease ruins and destroys lives. Research is key to transforming kidney health and support is crucial to make this happen. Please donate whatever you can, every donation will help to keep research going and help kidney patients. Kidney disease ends here.

Much Love
