Story

.

Hi, in October 2014 I will be leaving England with a Theakstons wooden Beer Cask in my pack. I will attempt to carry the 42lb Cask to Everest base camp, as challenged by Cooper  Johnathan Manby. My pal Paul Janes is also taking part in the 11/ 13 day trek. I estimate Lukla to base camp to take 8/ 9 days walk in and 3/ 4 days walk out. Walk in is slower due to the extra days needed to allow a persons body to adjust to new altitudes.  Everest base camp sits at 5360m above sea level. !! so a good effort. I have been training using a heavier 82 lb cask to allow for less air and and increased work load on the trek. Lets see what happens ! get you hand in your pocket Help for Heroes is a cracking charity. This is a 100% privately funded trek so what you give goes to charity !!

Thanks for reading Kris
