Shakespeare Half Marrow-thon

Shakespeare Marathon · 26 April 2020
In April, I will be running the Shakespeare Half Marathon in aid of Anthony Nolan, with Warwick Marrow. Anthony Nolan is a nationwide charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancers and blood disorders by finding them a lifesaving Stem Cell match.
Warwick Marrow is a part of the network of lifesaving students who work with the blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. There are over 50 Marrow groups, with hundreds of student volunteers in universities across the country, who are all working towards one thing - saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
Every 14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. For many of these people, Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy do not work and so a Stem Cell transplant is their only chance of survival, and everyday, 3 people find their life saving match.
It costs £40 to add a potential donor to the Stem Cell register; Anthony Nolan heavily relies on donations to run, and this is why it is so important to fundraise.
