Krishna's Challenge Championship! (26.2 Miles over 14 days)
Warwick Marrow is raising money for Anthony Nolan
Story
I am taking part in Marrow's Challenge Championship! Over the course of 14 days (Between April 19th and May 2nd), I will be running 26.2 miles! I chose 14 days to represent that every 14 minutes, someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer or a related disorder.
Everyone who knows me, knows how much I hate any sort of running, but after two half marathons were cancelled, I decided it was finally time I run a full marathon (Even if it is over 14 days). I still hate running, but it's worth it for the work Anthony Nolan does! I wanted to set myself this challenge for that exact reason!
It costs just £40 to add someone to the register, and that person could be a lifesaving match for someone with a blood disorder, so I am running this to help fund Anthony Nolan's lifesaving work!
For those of you who don't know who Warwick Marrow are, we are a student led branch of Anthony Nolan, a nationwide charity that finds lifesaving matches for people with some form of a blood cancer or blood disorder. We also help to fundraise for Anthony Nolan to ensure that their lifesaving work can continue! I would be immensely grateful if you could donate, even £1 can make a difference!
The reason I volunteer with Warwick Marrow is because I had Leukaemia when I was a child. Though I didn't need a Stem Cell transplant and Chemotherapy worked for me, so many others are not as lucky and speaking from experience and seeing other children around me, some of whom were friends, requiring a Stem Cell match, it is so important that Anthony Nolan continues their work!
